Over the past 40 years, Dennis Kintop of One Man One Project has been the go-to builder/contractor/remodeler to get your job done in Tri-Cities area of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles, IL.

Dennis has been nominated and earned dozens of awards and commendations for his contributions to commercial, public works and residential projects. The awards include the City of Batavia Citizen of the Year in 1998 for his skill and commitment to the 7 years of weekends in which he volunteered to manage the completion of the Batavia’s 4 acres of River Walk.

Dennis is also widely known for his numerous volunteer efforts in the community for architects, engineers and contractors mentor programs.

Residential

Patrick Residence Porch 

When our plans for 2020 got canceled, we decided we needed a bigger front porch because that's where we would be spending a lot of time. We wanted a comfortable, useful, and inviting space. I called Dennis based on a recommendation from a friend. Then I looked up some of his work and I was blown away.

I knew from his other work that this porch would be beautiful. I had a vision but not the words. Dennis brought in an architect to translate what I wanted to paper. Through a collaborative effort, he drafted a reasonable budget and timeline, listening for how he could make my dream porch appear with a realistic budget. He brought ideas for materials and together we selected those best suited for this project.

He showed up and worked when he said he would. He completed the job by his stated deadlines. He coordinated inspections, sub contractors, and materials so we could enjoy our porch before autumn kicked in. These seem simple, but only the true experts can make something complicated look easy, and that is how Dennis Kintop creates beautiful spaces.

Samuel Residence Porch

I can’t not recommend Dennis enough! We had been trying to get our front porch redone all summer. After our previous contractor fell through, I gave Dennis a call.

He was out within a couple of days to get his information and once the permit was approved got the job done with no hassle. All of this for an incredibly fair price. 

His workmanship is also top notch. Any work you have him do will be more than worth it once you see the finished product!

Commercial

RIVER STREET Apartments, Batavia IL

In 2020 O’Brien Property Management partnered with Dennis Kintop of One Man One Project to complete a 2,000 square foot build out to create two new apartments inside the 7500 square foot building, Install new outdoor windows and doors, complete tuck point and masonry façade maintenance, coordinate the roofing project and the install of new commercial HVAC platform.  In addition, install a new fire panel and sprinkling fire alarm system for the building. 

Dennis worked with Norris Architects to update drawings and distribute with RFQ for plumbing, electric, HVAC etc.  With bids, Dennis created the project budget in a format our lender partner wanted to see.  Dennis executed the project during a very trying time with COVID-19 always making himself available to discuss any questions I had.

He managed the various workers so they would not be on top of each other and required masks.  In addition, we ran into both labor and material shortages along the way. Dennis kept everything moving and on time. I am very satisfied with the strong level of professionalism, honesty and integrity carried throughout the project and elated with the project results that completed “on budget”!

In short, Dennis Kintop is trust and professionalism. His vision and craftmanship are honed from experience, and his innate integrity compels him to get projects done on time and on budget. Importantly, Dennis is easy to do business with. We have worked with Dennis on multiple occasions.

He redesigned our medical office, creating space, and building a lab. He had the vision, knowledge, and industry connections to complete the project quickly with expert results. Dennis came up with suggestions and had ideas on layout and materials that we simply would not have realized.

Subsequently, Dennis did a beautiful job at our home, building a workout room, and redesigning the family room. When we bought new office space, Dennis designed and built our entire office. He worked diligently to make the project hassle-free for us.

And when COVID-19 hit, Dennis designed and built a stunning protective closure for the front desk in record time. Dennis was able to complete this project even though materials were scarce due to the pandemic demand.

We have also had Dennis consult on building projects for family to oversee the general contractor and assure building plans were correct, schedules were kept, and they were not overcharged.
