Aware of the benefits of Himalayan salt, when the Hortons contacted us to update their home gym, they wanted to incorporating a salt lit atmosphere.
Due to windows and mirrors on three walls, we recommended a large salt panel light be installed between the 2 doors. It allows for a wonderful view from anywhere in the room. We also recommended new wood floors and a roll product to overlay the gym floor.

Construction Details
The salt panel is a custom size is 4’x8’ in a painted poplar frame. We used 144 imported Himalayan Salt 4x8x2” brick. The frame was backlit with 3000 kelvin lighting (warm light) to illuminate the salt evenly and provide for maximum health benefits.
We were able to match the wood flooring in the adjoining hall and located and installed 8mm roll rubber gym floor. This allowed for only 3 seams which provides a much cleaner look than the previous EVA interlocking foam squares, which are better suited for a garage.
